Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi is all set to launch a fitness smart band Mi Band 3 in India. Previously Xiaomi launch fitness bands Mi Band, Mi band 2 and Mi band HRX versions. Mi Band 3 is the successor of Mi band 2. The company is known for providing great products at affordable prices.
Mi Band 3 is a competition for several other similar brands from Huawei, and a few other Chinese manufacturers.
Xiaomi Mi Band 3: Price and Launch
As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi will soon be launching the Mi Band 3 in India. The launch event will be held in Bengaluru on September 27. We can expect that Xiaomi will be launch at least 5 new products during the event.
Coming to the price, the Mi Band 3 costs around Rs.1800 and the NFC variant costs Rs.2100. We are not sure that Xiaomi will launch both the variants or just launch only one of them.
Xiaomi Mi Band 3: Top 5 Key Features
After the huge success of both Mi Band And Mi Band 2, this is the third generation of the smart-band from Xiaomi.
One of the main new features of the Mi Band 3, is new 0.78-inch OLED display with a 128×80 resolution. Compared to the previous bands it is bigger in size. It is also a touch-sensitive display, so you can use gestures to navigate around the UI.
Heart Rate Sensor
The Mi Band 3 also features an improved heart rate sensor, which can now continuously track heart rate. Compared to the Mi Band 2 which also comes with a heart rate monitor, but it couldn’t track continuous data.
Better Fitness Tracking
Xiaomi has improved all the fitness tracking features in the Mi Band 3. The pedometer is now more accurate compared to Mi Band 2. Heart rate monitoring is better, better exercise modes and more. Now you can get real-time data for activities such as swimming, running, cycling and walking. The data collected is also more detailed when viewed on Mi health app.
5ATM Water Resistance
Fitness Bands need to be water resistant, and now Xiaomi has improved the water resistance on the new Mi Band 3. Now you can get up to 5 meters of resistance, you can take Mi Band 3 for a swim without any worries.
Compared to the previous bands Xiaomi has included a slightly larger 110mah battery. You can turn off automatic tracking mode, and get up to 20 days of usage. Xiaomi has increased the battery but the band 3 came with a continuous heart rate monitoring, it will not last as much as band 2.
